Design-time vs. run-time AI

The foundational split in how AI touches design. Design-time AI helps designers
create interfaces — generating layouts, checking accessibility, writing UX copy.
Run-time AI is embedded in the shipped product, personalising, predicting, and
adapting the interface in real time. Students learn to reason about each separately
because they raise different design and ethical questions.
