Tree of Thoughts & Graph-of-Thoughts

Where CoT commits to a single linear chain, Tree of Thoughts explores several
reasoning branches at once and evaluates them, dramatically outperforming linear
reasoning on structured problems with scorable intermediate states — at a cost of
many times more tokens. Graph-of-Thoughts generalises the tree to arbitrary
connections between thoughts. Students learn when this exploration is worth the
expense and when it is overkill.
